Mercury
Mercury is a minimal weather app built with Next.js. Search any city — or use your location — and it shows the current conditions, an hourly timeline and a 7-day forecast on one calm, near-black page, with all the data coming live from the free Open-Meteo API.
01 — What it does
One place, one glance
Mercury keeps a weather app to its essentials. You find a place, read what it's doing right now, and scan how the next week looks — all on a single scrolling page, with no clutter and no accounts.
Search
Look up any city or place, or use your location to jump straight to local conditions.
Now
Current temperature, feels-like, wind, humidity, UV, visibility, pressure and sun times at a glance.
Ahead
An hourly timeline for the rest of the day and a 7-day forecast with high/low ranges.
Search a place, then read it from now to a week out
02 — A look at it
From this hour to the week
From the landing page in, the whole app lives on one calm canvas: the moment first, then the hours, then the days — right down to a 404 that stays in character. Click any screen to take a closer look.

03 — Closing
Calm down to the corners
Mercury was as much a design exercise as a data one. I wanted a weather app that felt quiet — one big number, soft greys, and information that earns its place on the page. Wiring it to a live API was the easy half; the harder, more satisfying part was deciding what to leave out.
